Fun Fact:
There are many stories regarding the origins of the first ever vest made as both French and English claim to have created it.
According to the English, waistcoats were first introduced by King Charles II in the 17th century. The French, on the other hand, assert that King Louis XIV introduced it to court in the same period as a status symbol.
Regardless of its origins, this item, also known as gilet, is much sought after in the fashion world. Dventotto’s collection could not do without it.
