Description

Cold weather can make outdoor walks uncomfortable for many dogs, especially when coats restrict movement or cause long fur to knot or mat underneath.

The dog coat “Roma” is designed to provide balanced warmth while respecting the dog’s natural shape. The outer fabric is a wool-blend herringbone tweed, which offers gentle insulation while remaining breathable during everyday use.

Inside, a soft ivory bouclé lining helps maintain warmth while managing light moisture. Bouclé is made from looped yarn, which creates small air pockets that support natural insulation while staying comfortable against the coat.

The sleeveless design allows the dog to walk and run without restriction. Slightly wider arm openings support natural leg movement and make the coat easier to put on and remove. Two rows of front snap buttons allow the fit to be adjusted comfortably for different body shapes.

For dogs wearing harnesses, a discreet harness slit allows the leash attachment to pass through easily. When a collar is used instead, the internal flap closes the opening so it remains invisible from the outside. An elegant martingale detail on the back adds structure while keeping clean lines.

Result: comfortable warmth, natural movement, and a coat that stays balanced during daily walks while helping protect the condition of the dog’s fur.

Best suited for

• Small to medium dog breeds;
• Dogs sensitive to cooler temperatures;

Textile Heritage

Coats in tweed are well-known for their elegance and style. They have been worn over the centuries by ladies and gentleman from all corners of the world. Tweed is a woven fabric made from wool and wool blends; it comes in many different patterns such as Herringbone or fishbone. It is seems to originate from Scotland,  while the herringbone pattern which adorns our coat, appears to have roots in Ancient Rome, thus the name chosen for our Haute Pawture collection.

HOW TO TAKE YOUR DOG’S MEASUREMENTS

A = Back length
B = Chest circumference
C = Neck circumference

Place your dog in a standing position (see diagram).
Use a soft measuring tape.

Back length (A)
Measure from the shoulder blades (just below the neck) to the point where the tail begins.

Chest circumference (B)
Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, passing around the rib cage until the tape meets the starting point.

Neck circumference (C)
Measure around the base of the neck, where a collar would normally sit, bringing the tape around until it meets the starting point.
