Description

Some winter coats keep dogs warm, yet they can feel rough on the coat. This is especially true for long-haired breeds, where friction can lead to knots.

The dog coat Hebrides is made with 100% Harris Tweed® wool, sourced from an authorised dealer in Scotland. Harris Tweed is known for its compact weave and natural insulation. As a result, it helps maintain comfortable warmth during cooler walks.

However, wool can create friction on certain coat types. For this reason, Hebrides is lined with 100% cotton. Cotton is smooth, breathable, and gentle against the fur. In practice, it helps reduce rubbing and supports coat comfort for dogs with longer hair.

The coat closes with two rows of snap buttons. This allows an easy, adjustable fit. In addition, the sleeveless cut supports natural leg movement. The arm openings are slightly wider, so dressing and undressing feels simple. A small martingale detail on the back completes the silhouette with a classic finish.

Please note: this model does not include a harness opening. Therefore, it is best suited to dogs that walk with a collar.

Result: natural warmth from Harris Tweed, a breathable cotton lining that feels smoother on the coat, and a stable fit for calm winter walks.

Best suited for

• Small to medium dog breeds;
• Cooler autumn and winter walks;
• Long-haired coats that knot easily;
• Dogs walked with a collar, not a harness;
• Owners who appreciate traditional tartan textiles.

Benefits you may notice

• Comfortable warmth without heavy bulk;
• Less friction on long coats;
• A smoother feel against the fur;
• An adjustable fit that stays aligned;
• A distinctive tartan look with classic character.

A good coat should offer warmth and comfort in equal measure. The Hebrides coat combines traditional Harris Tweed wool with a breathable cotton lining to support everyday winter walks.

Textile Heritage

Harris Tweed® wool is one of the most sought-after wool textiles in the world. It comes from the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, so we obviously named our product in honour of this island! It’s a natural product that can only be handwoven by the local islanders of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Anything else is not original!

This wool was originally used by farmers to protect themselves from the harsh weather conditions of Scotland. It soon became so popular that it was used as a form of payment, and much later it sparked the Harris Tweed Act of 1993. Today it is a symbol of quality, class and style.

PRODUCT CARE

To retain shape and quality, we recommend professional dry-cleaning at a low temperature only.

HOW TO TAKE YOUR DOG’S MEASUREMENTS

A = Back length
B = Chest circumference
C = Neck circumference

Place your dog in a standing position (see diagram).
Use a soft measuring tape.

Back length (A)
Measure from the shoulder blades (just below the neck) to the point where the tail begins.

Chest circumference (B)
Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, passing around the rib cage until the tape meets the starting point.

Neck circumference (C)
Measure around the base of the neck, where a collar would normally sit, bringing the tape around until it meets the starting point.
