Textile Heritage
Corduroy comes from the French words “Cord du Roi” (cord for Kings) and its origins seem to be claimed by many but textile experts believe that this fabric dates back to around 200AD in a town called Fustat (Egypt) located close to the river Nile. Corduroy was originally weaved with wool and linen which created a course, ribbed pattern as we know it today. In the modern world, this textile was first introduced by Levi Strauss in 1901 and became very popular in the 70s and an item in corduroy is a must in today’s fashion world.
PRODUCT CARE
To retain shape and quality, we recommend professional dry-cleaning at low temperatures. However, you can also wash this coat at home by hand in cold water with natural detergent. Do not soak. Rinse well and wring gently. Lie flat to dry. Do not tumble dry.

A = Back length
B = Chest circumference
C = Neck circumference
Place your dog in a standing position (see diagram).
Use a soft measuring tape.
Back length (A)
Measure from the shoulder blades (just below the neck) to the point where the tail begins.
Chest circumference (B)
Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, passing around the rib cage until the tape meets the starting point.
Neck circumference (C)
Measure around the base of the neck, where a collar would normally sit, bringing the tape around until it meets the starting point.
