Description
Cold and damp weather can make winter walks uncomfortable, especially when many dog coats feel heavy, trap moisture, or restrict natural movement. The puffer dog coat “Ruby” is designed to provide reliable warmth while allowing your dog to move freely during everyday walks.
The outer shell of this puffer dog coat is made from durable diamond-quilted polyester with thermal padding that helps retain warmth while protecting against wind and light rain. Inside, a soft white faux-fur lining provides gentle insulation while remaining breathable, helping maintain warmth without overheating.
Unlike bulky winter garments, the Ruby dog coat follows the natural shape of the dog’s body. The sleeveless design and slightly wider arm openings support natural leg movement, making the coat comfortable for walking, running, and daily outings. A removable cape attached with snap buttons adds versatility, allowing the coat to adapt easily to changing weather conditions.
Result: reliable warmth, natural movement, and a winter dog coat that remains comfortable during colder walks.

Textile Heritage
Eddie Bauer is credited with inventing the well-known down jacket (also called “puffy” or puffer coat) in 1936 after he nearly died of hypothermia on his way home from a fishing trip. This experience inspired him to create a diamond-quilted jacket filled with goose down feathers, which remains popular today. However, centuries before this, Inuit tribes in Alaska and Canada had already used similar systems. The wore clothes made from skin, fur, and feathers to protect themselves from harsh temperatures. Regardless, we are grateful to both for contributing such a useful item of clothing that we cannot do without and more importantly, thanks to today’s technology we can enjoy these warm down-free jackets while saving the lives of many geese and ducks.

HOW TO TAKE YOUR DOG’S MEASUREMENTS
A = Back length
B = Chest circumference
C = Neck circumference
Place your dog in a standing position (see diagram).
Use a soft measuring tape.
Back length (A)
Measure from the shoulder blades (just below the neck) to the point where the tail begins.
Chest circumference (B)
Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, passing around the rib cage until the tape meets the starting point.
Neck circumference (C)
Measure around the base of the neck, where a collar would normally sit, bringing the tape around until it meets the starting point.
